Cornbelly's

We spent a wonderful Fall afternoon at Cornbelly's by Thanksgiving Point. It was a gorgeous, warm day and really put me in the mood for fall.Jill was in town visiting with her girls so we wrangled the kids together.
We went and watched the pig races. The kids were excited:
The announcer asked who had the "prettiest Mom" and the kids went nuts. Bless their hearts! As a result I was roped into kissing a pig. Let me just say...not much upsets me. In general I am pretty confident. I thought...no big deal just get it over with quickly. Then "Bujo" brought out the pig. It was squealing like crazy and absolutely filthy! The smell was overwhelming and I panicked. Swine Flu! It took me WAY too long to kiss that darn pig and I was so embarrassed. The kids thought it was pretty funny. I won this for my efforts:The kids all took a ride on the cow train:We also jumped on the huge air pillows. Wouldn't it be so fun to have one of these in the backyard?I got Tani to sit still long enough to have a picture with his Mom:Everyone had a ton of fun and I got to spend time with the kids and my sister!

BYU football

We love going to BYU football games with Grandpa Bergeson.

Anna makes signs and we paint the kids' faces.
Owen loves hot dogs with mustard. Tanielu gets the program and studies it to figure out who all his "cousins" are. Any of the Polynesian players count. He pulls out the program during the week and memorizes their stats.

Thanksgiving Feast

I cooked again this year for Thanksgiving. My second time roasting a turkey. It was all good though because I had a lot of help. Anna woke up early (about 6am) and sat reading on the couch so she "would be ready when I needed her." Anna, Tani and Owen all helped me make the traditional Yugoslavian stuffing: The turkey came out perfectly. Thankfully.

We had Aunt Zoie and Uncle Jefferson and their family over for dinner. A small party but great company and tons of delicious food.

Hiking in the fall

We spent a perfect fall day as a family hiking around Tibble Fork Reservoir. The leaves were colorful and the weather was gorgeous. We brought Subway sandwiches and had a picnic lunch by the river. We then hiked up the river and practised walking across logs and rocks. By the end of the day everyone had wet feet and pants but it was a blast. I can't imagine anything I enjoy more than spending a beautiful day with my family in the mountains.

Cousins and Cornbelly's

We love it when our cousins come to visit! We always do lots of fun things when they are here. This time we all went to Cornbelly's together. The Pumpkin Princess was very sweet to Anna. She remembered meeting us at the Diabetes Walk so we now know that princesses can have diabetes too.We wandered in the children's corn maze and had fun looking for Halloween eggs. Owen was the only one to find one though. He was quite pleased by that fact!Anna dressed up in Princess Land and drove the Pumpkin Princess' carriage.

The boys had a lot of fun climbing all over the castle and the giant hay bale slides.
Owen and William loved the water pump rubber ducky tracks.The kids all laughed at the pig races and Rod was even chosen to participate. The host said "SIR! How did I miss you?!" Rod made a face, slid his hat crooked and ran up. It was pretty funny.William had no fear and wanted to climb the hay bales with all the big kids. Overall we had a great time. I had been mourning the loss of summer and it was good to get out and celebrate fall with our family!
