I love watching Rod play softball. That is...until something like this happens: Rod turned his ankle on second base. It was a terrible sprain that has taken A LONG time to heal. Poor guy.
January 2009 Anna stands up and starts dancing by our table in the restaurant. I tell her it isn't the place for dancing and she replies: "Mom, its always the place for dancing!"
November 2008 I instruct Tanielu to use his silverwear and not his hands while eating dinner and he casually replies: "Mom, I'm Samoan."
August 2008 Anna tells me she thinks it would be fun to have Hannah Montana as her older sister because then she would have really cool hand me downs.
Sunday July 6, 2008 Anna's teacher gave a lesson on the 10 lepers and taught the children about how only one came back to thank the Savior after they were healed. After class her teacher told me that Anna was the only one who thanked him for teaching class that day. What a special little girl!
Wednesday July 2, 2008 Owen and I had a date night together because Anna and Tani were at the cousins for a sleepover and Rod was working late. I asked him what he would like to do and he chose to get donuts and eat them in Mom's bed while we watched "go diego go go". Later we were talking and I told him how I couldn't wait to see what he would grow up to be because he is such a neat boy. He told me he would like to grow up to be a Dad. Then he said "but I might grow up then get little again because I ate so much junk!"
May 2008 Anna and Rod were having a long talk. Rod told Anna that picking me to be his wife was the most important and best decision he had ever made. Anna replied: "That's why I love you so much Dad!"
Owen age 3 (May 2008) I look outside in time to see Owen's bare buns and a golden fountain as he pees off our second story deck.
Tanielu age 4 (May 2008) while listening to the radio: "This is girl music Dad. It's not rock and roll!"
May 2008 I send Owen and Tanielu outside to play after telling them to stay out of the mud. I look out a little later and see them both playing with the hose in an enormous mud puddle. They were completely covered head to toe in mud. Their smiles were priceless! I wish I had taken a picture but I was too frustrated at the disobedience to stop and enjoy the moment. Live and learn.
